Busy, Busy, Busy!!!

Well... It's been awhile since I have written anything on here, so I thought I better hurry and put a little somethin up, since I know you've all just been WAITING to hear what I have to say HA... well, I really haven't had ANY time to stay current in the blogging world, I have been in a whole different world lately, a.k.a.... the reservation. I have been doing my clinical rotations in Chinle, Arizona and Shiprock, New Mexico for the last few months for my RN program, and we are there twice a week, so really... not much time for anything else! I'm thinking about going into the Masters program for Nurse Practitioner when I'm done, but that's still a little while away, so i have PLENTY of time to think about it! If so, I'm afraid I wont start blogging regularly for a long time!

We are doing well other than that... Football season, day care, reffing volleyball, school, and the reservation are keepin us pretty busy! Seth is getting bigger and bigger, and still struggling with the potty training stuff! i feel kinda bad, cuz I'm not really around enough to get him on the toilet as much as I should, so we're just inching our way along with it! If anybody has some GREAT tips, let me know!!! I hope to be able to write more later. I'll just put the latest pix up that I have... just some random ones.... one with me and Seth and my LPN certificate... the other was my first day of Orientation to the Chinle, Arizona hospital! Although it seems forever away, the end is in site!!!!

The last couple weeks have been extra busy for us. I started up the RN program 2 weeks ago, have been studying for my LPN boards coming up IN 2 weeks, we had a lot of company for our 4th of July reunion, we took a trip to Provo, and we had Seth's birthday party while everyone was here, even tho his birthday isn't until tomorrow (the 10th). He is/will be a big 3!!! I was a little relieved that the "terribile twos" weren't so terrible, but... its starting to seem like they were a little behind on that... I vote to change it to the "terrible threes".

We had a lot of fun with my sister and her kids! Also, the newest sister of our family, Jen, and her dad and brothers were here, so Seth had so much fun playing with his "guys" as he called them! I have so many pix to post of the reunion and the bday party, so I think I'll post the group pic (I realize its far away and a lot of people. Seth and I are on the right. The only dark-haired, dark-skinned boy, and the only girl with a flower!) and then try to figure out how to put photo albums up. If anybody wants to guide me in the right direction, I would appreciate your help!

Circus Circus

It just so happened that there was a circus right here in Blanding! so of course Seth was so excited to go! He had been watching the Backyardigans episode where they are circus performers and he decided that he wanted to be a clown too!

So... we get to the circus and NOBODY there knew English at first! It was a little bit scary and i'm thinking, "o mann... what did we get ourselves into." It turned out to be ok. It was a little bit modified, using sheep dogs, goats, and ponies to do all the tricks. We were a little bit disappointed that there were no elephants or trapeze artists, but all in all, it was a fun night! Some of the clowns afterward actually turned out to be able to speak some broken English :)

CORDELLS WEDDING!

Yes... Cordell got married! He married Jennifer Cannon in the St. George temple on March 28. None of us really got to know her much yet, but she seems like a really cool girl and was very sweet to all of us, and VERY excited! SO... Jen, WELCOME!

Utah Jazz Camp 2007

I thought since I had some pictures from this I might as well post a blog about it. Last summer we went to a mini camp by Dee Brown, then with the Utah Jazz. Seth was so excited to be in the gym with all the other kids, and was having a hard time sitting still. So, like Seth does, he took off running, right up to Dee Brown. Dee was so cute with him and they just hung out the whole time. Dee found us as we got in our car to leave and gave us a signed picture of him. Who knows, I might have a lil baller in the making!!!

Lake Powell 2008

Some friends decided to go to Lake Powell just to get away for the day. We got so excited to go and packed up all kinds of fun things to take. We got everything prepared and left for lake Powell. Both cars that drove up missed the turn and we ended up driving a half hour out of our way before turning around! At least we weren't the only ones! It was good to have a mini vacation, but we almost got blown away and the sand didn't go well in our eyes!

The last few days Seth has learned some new "tricks". He loves to "speak whale" into the exhaust pipe of grandpas truck, I guess hoping something/someone will come out of it. The only thing he really gets out of it is a big black ring around his face!

He also learned that although he can't go on the road, running through the tree farm is a perfect way to get to the neighbors house and the best part is, nobody will know! I spent about 20 minutes walking around outside trying to look for him yesterday, only to find him hanging out with the chickens at the neighbors house. He took one look at me and started running back towards our house, yelling back at me, "Mom, I'm a fast runner!"
